Serranía de Cuenca

Where rivers are born

A 231 km loop that leaves Cuenca and returns through the heart of the Serranía. Along the way, the rivers that shape these mountains are born or carve their path: the Júcar beneath the Ventano del Diablo, the Cuervo among tufa waterfalls, the Guadiela through the Hoz de Beteta gorge, beside the royal springs of Solán de Cabras, and the Escabas and the Trabaque among willow groves. Black pine forests, griffon vultures, stone villages and Starlight skies.

And a tribute to cycling: the loop passes through Priego, birthplace of Luis Ocaña, winner of the 1973 Tour de France and the 1970 Vuelta a España. Five days and four nights, with the Parador de Cuenca as your gateway in and out, two nights in Beteta, deep in the mountains, and a farewell dinner at the Michelin-starred Casas Colgadas.

Private, tailor-made trip.
